Motorised shutters are fitted with a manual override, a crank or chain, so the shutter can still be opened or closed without power.
Aluminium resists corrosion and is lighter on the motor, which suits retail. Galvanised steel is stronger for warehouses and higher-risk locations. Perforated slats suit malls where you want visibility when closed.
